So many times I hear people talking, and complaining, about an apparent lack of resources when they weren’t able to do something.
They say things like:
- I didn’t know the right people
- I didn’t have the money
- I didn’t have the time
- I didn’t have the right qualifications
- I didn’t have the right experience
- My boss wouldn’t let me
These are all resources that are outside of the person, and they are basically telling me “I wasn’t able to do it because I didn’t have the right resources.”
And so they are the victim of their own thinking.
Why? Because a lack of resources is never the problem. That’s just an error in your thinking process.
The real reason for the failure is a lack of resourcefulness.
Creativity, Decisiveness, Clarity, Resilience, Curiosity, Enthusiasm and Honesty are the ultimate human resources.
When you’re able to be resourceful enough, you will never have a problem with getting the resources that are outside of you.
Resourcefulness is the ultimate resource, so please stop telling yourself the stories that you are a victim of externals, that you first need something to happen before you can go on, and take ownership of your now resourcefulness. It all starts within.
Resourcefulness is the ultimate resource.
But ONLY always…
